It doesn't take much to host a happening holiday party, even when you're pinching pennies. A little bit of creative energy can be just ht trick to spredading holiday cheer and creating an ambiance that invites even the most bah-humbug of neighbors or friends to relax and enjoy the season. Here are a few tips to jazz up your holiday soiree:
The Ornamental Invite: Start by sending each ghuest a clear glass ornament invite iwth all of the details of the party handwritten on the outside. You can fill these with glitter, holiday-colored boas, ribbon, etc.
Deck The Halls: Maximize your holiday decor by using any lcear fruit bowls, hurrican vases or silver trays filled with colorful ornaments. Buy some rosemary bushes to create small spaces of greenery. You can even create half-finished arrangements...just put the unfinsihed side against the wall!
Tiny Treats: Don't feel obligated to serve your guests a full meal. Just let them know on the invite that you will be seriving 'light bites.' They will be fascinated by your trendy array of soup shots, passed hors d'oeuvres, and fancy little finger foods.
Drink and be Merry: Keep the bar simple by offering 3-4 kins of drinks, with one being a fabulous singnature coctail, the Coole n' Dreamy we blogged about previously!
Sweet Memories: My theory on party favors is that they should either be useful or consumable. I love sending guests home with fragrant paper whites in inexpensive terra cotta pots!
